Saviour was founded in 2001 by Neil Maloney while working as Design Director for the acclaimed Attik Design Group in Sydney Australia. The initial aim of the project was to share ideas with the growing community of Ex-Pat's flocking to Sydney to enjoy the summer sun, but in the process struggling to find the kind of quality menswear they were used to back home. The collections were sold into key stores across Australia including Orson & Blake, Luxe and Incu in Sydney and Cyberia in Melbourne and the label has gained cult status amongst Brits and Aussies in the know. In 2004 Ian Maloney, Neil's brother & fellow casualite was brought on-board to help grow the project into a brand that could challenge the best of British by utilising his business knowledge. Together they have a collective career of nearly 30 years, spanning most facets of design, working for clients such as Sony, MTV and Toyota. |
Ian Maloney runs Saviour along side his design agency which is now in its 10th successful year. The agency designs in several sectors including retail where they produce campaigns for major clients with 140+ stores across the UK. It is this dual business strategy that allows Saviour to flourish season on season by allowing the brand the freedom to grow in the right way, without 'selling out'... something rare in today's industry. The brands marketing materials are consistently outstanding as the same in-house team works across both business', eliminating the need for a 3rd party design agency... the brand preferring budgets to be spent on producing fantastic promos rather than external design fees. The experience of the core team at Saviour means everything is thought through; from labelling to swing tags, from packaging to in-store branding, everything is considered, no stone unturned. |
