Too Black Guys is a clothing brand that was founded in 1990, in Toronto. Inspired by hip hop's "do for self" sentiment, the line was the first to incorporate the message and graphically represent the black experience in an unapologetic way. Immediately popular with both local and international celebrities it became the uniform of the movement being seen on artists from Mary J Blige to Leaders of the New School to Ice Cube. |
After a break from the market, the brand was relaunched in 2006 with a new look but the same objective - to challenge people to take a critical look at society with original and quality first product. TBG is now available at top independent boutiques in Canada, the US, Europe and Japan. |
